SUSTAINABLE PRACTICIES
Local Manufacturing:
100% of our cutting and sewing is done in the Garment District in New York City. We manufacture our products using an all female atelier. Our swimwear is made for women by women. Manufacturing domestically and with a minority owned factory supports the local economy but reassures customers that our workers are treated respectfully and paid fairly, contributes to less pollution, and creates a smaller carbon footprint.
Sourcing Materials:
We only use fabrics that offer the highest quality and are made with sustainable practices. Our suppliers monitor every single stage or our production’s cycle in order to reduce the use of water, energy, chemicals and waste.
We use high end recycled fabrics made of ECONYL® yarn, a 100% regenerated nylon yarn derived from pre and post industrial waste such as discarded fishing nets, fabric scraps, carpet use, industrial plastic, carpet fluffECONYL®. Instead of being disposed in the landfill or sourcing new nylon we regenerate waste.
Dyes and Chemicals:
We choose products that are Oeko-Text Certified, meaning that the raw materials undergo testing to ensure that no harmful chemicals are used nor released.
Packaging:
Our packaging is 100% compostable made of bio-based materials that are able to be broken down in landfills.
